Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan konvensional ( ceramah dan tanya jawab) terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, untuk mengetahui perbedaan prestasi belajar siswa antara siswa yang memiliki Emotional Intellegence tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki Emotional Intellegence rendah dan untuk mengetahui kemungkinan adanya interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan konvensional ( ceramah dan tanya jawab ) dengan Emotional Intellegence terhadap prestasi belajar siswa mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan kelas VII SMP Wahidiyah Kediri

Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif jenis eksperimen. Hubungan yang diukur adalah hubungan sebab akibat atau kausal, dengan melakukan kontrol terhadap variabel independen. Adapun jenis rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Factorial Design dua jalur. Sebelum Instrumen penelitian digunakan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik analisa data menggunakan Anava Dua Jalur yang sebelumnya dilakukan terlebih dahulu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas

Setelah melakukan penelitian diperoleh hasil yaitu, ada perbedaan prestasi belajar antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan Problem Based Learning, dengan pembelajaran Konvensional ( ceramah dan tanya jawab ), ada perbedaan prestasi belajar siswa yang memiliki Emotional Intellegence tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki Emotional Intellegence rendah, ada interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Konvensional ( ceramah dan tanya jawab) dengan Emosional Intelegence terhadap prestasi belajar PKn siswa kelas VII SMP Wahidiyah Kediri. kesimpulan dari penelitian bahwa strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning mempunyai hasil yang lebih baik dari pada strategi pembelajaran konvensional ( ceramah dan tanya jawab ), juga diperoleh hasil belajar siswa yang mempunyai Emosional Intelegence tinggi lebih baik dari pada siswa yang memiliki Emosional Intelegence rendah. Saran esensial dari penelitian ini adalah strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning bisa diterapkan di semua sekolah dengan karakteristik mata pelajaran yang sesuai dan guru perlu juga memperhatikan Emosional Intelegence siswa karena hal ini berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

The purpose of this research was to determine the differences in Problem Based learning strategies and conventional (lectures and asked questions) on student learning achievement, to determine the differences in student learning achievement between students who have a high Emotional Intelligence and students who have low Emotional Intelligence and to determine the possibility of interaction between Problem Based Learning strategies and conventional (lectures and asked questions) with Emotional Intelligence on the Civic Education Learning Achievement of Seventh Graders of Wahidiyah Junior High School Kediri.

The approach used in this research is a quantitative to experiment type. The measured relationship is causal by controlling the independent variables. The type of research design used was a two lane Factorial Design. Before the instruments were used in the research the validity and reliability of the instruments were tested. Data analysis techniques used was Anova two lane which test of normality and homogeneity test previously done first.

The research results are there is differences in learning achievement between students taught using Problem Based Learning and conventional learning (lecture and asked questions), there is a difference in student learning achievement that have high Emotional Intelligence with students who have low Emotional Intelligence, there is interaction between Problem Based learning strategy and Conventional (lecture and asked questions) and Emotional Intelligence of Civic Education learning achievement of seventh graders of Wahidiyah Junior High School Kediri.

The conclusions of the research that the Problem Based Learning strategies have better results than the Conventional, student that have a high Emotional Intelligence get outcomes better than students who have low Emotional Intelligence. Essential suggestions of this research is that Problem Based Learning strategies can be implemented in all schools with the characteristics of appropriate subjects but the teachers should pay attention to the students 'Emotional Intelligence because it affects the students' learning outcomes.
