PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PADA SISWA KELAS VIII DI SMP NEGERI 1 JETIS KABUPATEN MOJOKERTO

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan perbedaan hasil belajar fisika siswa sehubungan diterapkannya model Problem Based Learning dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, serta perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah juga interaksi masing-masing variabel penelitian.

Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Jetis kabupaten Mojokerto dengan subyek penelitian adalah siswa-siswi kelas VIII semester genap tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian kuantitatif kuasi, dan bentuk desain penelitiannya adalah” The Matching only pre test post test control group design”. Instrumen yang dipakai untuk mengumpulkan data adalah angket motivasi dan soal tes hasil belajar fisika dimana kedua instrumen telah melalui uji validitas menggunakan korelasi product moment dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Setelah melalui uji normalitas data menggunakan rumus Kolmogorof Smirnov dan uji homogenitas menggunakan rumus Levene’s , Data-data yang telah berhasil dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis dengan Analisis Varians Dua Jalur dimana peneliti memanfaatkan sarana komputer dengan sistem seri program statistik ( SPSS for windows serie-13.00 ).

Hasil uji hipotesis pertama ditemukan nilai Fhitung sebesar 41,531 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,000, maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, uji hipotesis kedua ditemukan nilai Fhitung sebesar 4,319 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,042, maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, dan uji hipotesis ketiga ditemukan nilai Fhitung sebesar 5,194 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,026, maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, Hal ini dapat diartikan (1). Ada perbedaan hasil belajar bidang studi IPA/ fisika siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Jetis, sehubungan digunakannya model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan pembelajaran konvensional/ tanpa PBL. (2). Ada perbedaan hasil belajar bidang studi IPA/ fisika siswa kelas VIII di UPTSP SMP Negeri 1 Jetis, antara yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi dengan yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah. (3). Ada perbedaan antara model Problem Based Learning dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar bidang studi IPA/ fisika siswa kelas VIII di UPTSP SMP Negeri 1 Jetis Mojokerto.

This study aims to reveal the differences in study physics regarding the implementation of Problem Based Learning models with conventional learning models, and the differences of learning outcomes between students with high motivation and students with low motivation for studying the interaction of each learning variable.


The study was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Jetis Mojokerto with the subjects were students of class VIII in their 2nd semester academic year 2011/2012. Type of research conducted was a quasi quantitative research, the research design is "The Matching pre test post test only control group design". Instruments used to collect data was questionnaire about motivation and learning of physics in which the test results of both instruments have gone through the test of the validity of using the product moment correlation and reliability testing using Cronbach's Alpha formula. After the normality test using the formula Kolmogorof Smirnov test and Levene's homogeneity, the data had been collected and analyzed with the Analysis of Variance Two point where researchers use computer facilities with systems series statistical program (SPSS for windows serie-13.00).


The first hypothesis test results found Fhitung value is 41.531 with significance of 0.000, so H1 accepted and Ho rejected, the second hypothesis test found Fhitung values ​​of 4.319 with significance of 0.042, so H1 accepted and Ho rejected, and the third hypothesis test found Fhitung value of 5.194 with significance of 0.026, so H1 accepted and Ho rejected. So, it can be interpreted that: (1). There are differences in the learning field study science / physics class VIII student at Junior High School 1 Jetis, regarding the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models with conventional learning / without PBL. (2). There are differences in the learning physics in class VIII student Junior High School 1 Jetis, among the student with high motivation to the students with low learning motivation. (3). There are differences between the model of Problem Based Learning and motivation to learn physics for class VIII student at Junior High School 1 Jetis Mojokerto.
